Founded in 1878, Izumi Shrine enshrines Lord Hosokawa Fujitaka (also known as Yūsai), a distinguished cultural figure renowned for his mastery of martial arts, poetry, tea ceremony, and Noh theater. Successive lords of the Hosokawa clan and Hosokawa Garasha are also enshrined here.
Visitors may receive a traditional **Goshuin**, a sacred stamp symbolizing prayers and connections, as well as an original **Goshuincho** featuring the shrine’s crest and the beauty of the grounds. In addition, limited monthly Goshuin reflecting the elegance of each season are also available, treasured by many as a sign of spiritual bonds.
